One of my favorite books, Letter to A Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke, on the very first chapter, the aspired writer asked Rilke whether his work was good enough and Rilke replied,

“No one can advise or help you — no one. There is only one thing you should do…ask yourself in the most silent hour of your night: must I write? Dig into yourself for a deep answer. And if this answer rings out in assent, if you meet this solemn question with a strong, simple “I must,” then build your life in accordance with this necessity.”

I am making art now because when I asked myself, must I create? The answer is undeniably I must. Though, THAT life did not happen — not for a long time. Because of that, many ideas were kept inside and locked away … until recently.

I am making art now — using various mediums, inspired by many artists I admired … Paul Klee, Joan Miro, Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky, and Salvador Dali to name a few.
